Malcolm
The Malcolm project is another of Cascade’s advanced projects. It is located 15km east of Leonora. The project has a total area of approximately 7,500ha and lies on 1 granted Mining Lease, 50 Prospecting Licenses and 1 Exploration Licence. Summarised details of the project are listed below:
JORC Resources:
The project currently has a JORC resource (Inferred) of 48,000t @ 3.72g/t Au for 5,740 oz.
Mineralisation:
Modest historic production of 6,008t @ 27.18g/t Au.
6 main targets with near surface mineralisation.
Significant drill highlights include:
- 16m @ 3.75g/t from 4m;
- 12m @ 2.38g/t from 15m; and
- 4m @ 10.00g/t from 22m.
Near-Term Production:
The project is located within proximity to milling infrastructure with excess capacity.
Cascade has additional prospects within the Malcolm project. Details of these prospects include:
Rabbit Warren South Prospect
This is located 6km northeast of Leonora. The area covers 548Ha and comprises 4 prospecting licences. Previous exploration has consisted of soil sampling and limited drilling. Past production is recorded as 436t @ 41.62g/t Au. Limited wide spaced drilling has intersected:
- 14m @ 2.04g/t Au from 24m
Mt Stewart Prospect
This Prospect is located 25km east of Leonora. The prospect covers an area of 1,511 Ha and consists of 12 Prospecting Licences. Previous exploration has been remarkably light, nevertheless some old workings suggest prospectivity. These workings appear never to have been drilled in the past.
Braemore Prospect
This prospect lies 12km northeast of Leonora and covers 1186Ha. The tenements comprise 7 Prospecting Licences. Previous exploration has been light but nevertheless gold mineralisation has been found associated with a sheared porphyry contact with a strike length of at least 100m in very wide spaced shallow holes.
Previous intersections include:
- 3m @ 2.12g/t Au from 137m to the end of the hole; and
- 4m @ 1.07g/t Au from 64m.
Mt George Prospect
This prospect is located 5km northeast of Leonora. The prospect covers an area of 1,143 Ha, and consists of 10 Prospecting Licences. Previous exploration has been remarkably light, nevertheless some old workings suggest prospectivity. These workings appear never to have been drilled in the past. Rock chip samples with values of up to 18.6g/t Au have been collected from this underexplored area.
